Dahua DH-IPC-HDBW5442HP-ZHE-2712F-DC12AC24V-ATC-S3 - 4MP 2K WizMind AI IP CCTV Dome Camera

The Dahua DH-IPC-HDBW5442HP-ZHE-2712F-DC12AC24V-ATC-S3 is a 4MP 2K WizMind AI IP CCTV dome camera with a 2.7-12mm motorized vari-focal lens and IR night vision up to 40m. This is the -ATC version: Dahua lists its anti-corrosion level, Moderate Protection, as supported by the -ATC model only. It is listed on our site as powered from 12 VDC or 24 VAC. The housing is IP67 and IK10 rated, and AI functions such as video metadata, face detection, people counting and perimeter protection run on the camera. Our guide to Dahua WizMind cameras explains what WizMind means.

Common questions

What does WizMind mean?

Dahua describes WizMind as a full portfolio of project-oriented solutions (IPC, IVSS, NVR, PTZ, XVR, thermal and a software platform) built on deep learning algorithms. See our guide to Dahua WizMind cameras.

What does the ATC in the model code mean?

Dahua's datasheet lists the anti-corrosion level as Moderate Protection, supported by the -ATC model only. Dahua says these products have high-grade anti-corrosion protection and perform reliably from 2 km (1.24 mi) and above in coastal areas and in locations prone to acid rain exposure.

How is it powered?

This version is listed on our site as DC12V / AC24V, so power it from 12 VDC or 24 VAC. Dahua's series datasheet also lists PoE+ (802.3at) and ePoE as power options. Dahua says that if the power adapter and PoE both supply power, one of them should be disconnected.

Is it a weatherproof camera?

Yes. Dahua lists IP67 and IK10 protection with a heater, an operating range of -40 °C to +60 °C and, on the -ATC model, anti-corrosion Moderate Protection, so it can be fitted outside as an outdoor CCTV camera or outdoor security camera, including in coastal areas. In a CCTV system it is a surveillance camera with IR night vision up to 40m.

Does it have a heater?

Dahua lists IP67 and IK10 protection with a heater for this series, and gives heating power consumption of 3 W (12 VDC), 3.8 W (24 VAC) and 3.9 W (PoE).

Which AI functions does it support?

Dahua lists video metadata, smart sound detection, perimeter protection (intrusion, tripwire, loitering, people gathering and parking detection), smart object detection (abandoned and missing objects), face detection, people counting and heat map, with SMD 3.0 and AcuPick.

Can I record sound and use alarms?

Yes. It has a built-in dual microphone, 1 audio input and 1 audio output, 3 alarm inputs and 2 alarm outputs, and an RS-485 port.

Which recorder should I use?

It supports ONVIF Profile S, G, T and M, so it can be added to recorders and software that support ONVIF. Dahua says Smart Search works together with a Dahua Smart NVR. See our network video recorders.
