Dahua DH-IPC-HFW1639TCP-A-IL-0280B-S6-QH - 6MP 3K Smart Dual Light Bullet IP CCTV Camera

The Dahua DH-IPC-HFW1639TCP-A-IL-0280B-S6-QH (IPC-HFW1639TCP-A-IL-0280B-S6-QH without the DH- prefix) is a 6MP 3K Smart Dual Light bullet IP CCTV camera with a fixed 2.8mm lens. Dahua lists the family as DH-IPC-HFW1639TC-A-IL, a 6MP Entry Smart Dual Light fixed-focal bullet network camera in its 1639-S6 series. It has infrared night vision, a warm light, a built-in microphone and human detection, and is rated IP67. See our Smart Dual Light guide for how Smart Dual Light works.

Also listed as IPC-HFW1639TCP-A-IL-0280B-S6-QH. Dahua's base model code is IPC-HFW1639TC-A-IL.

Key features

• 6MP (3200 x 1800) at up to 20 fps from a 1/2.7 inch CMOS sensor, with 4MP (2688 x 1520) at 25 or 30 fps
• Smart Dual Light: the IR illuminator is normally on at night, and when a target appears the white light switches on so the camera can record a full-colour image
• One multi-core light with IR distance up to 30m and warm light distance up to 30m
• Human detection filters out alarms triggered by non-human targets
• Built-in microphone, fixed 2.8mm lens (F1.6) and DWDR
• 12V DC or PoE (802.3af) power
• IP67 protection in a metal housing, working from -40 °C to +60 °C

Common questions

What is Smart Dual Light?

Dahua says the IR illuminator is usually on at night, and when a target appears in the monitored area the white light switches on so the camera records full-colour video. When the target leaves, the white light goes off and the IR returns, which reduces light pollution. Read the Smart Dual Light guide for more.

Does it have a built-in microphone?

Yes. Dahua lists a built-in microphone for the -A versions of this series.

How far can it see at night?

As an infrared camera, its multi-core light gives IR up to 30m and warm light up to 30m, with 0.007 lux minimum illumination in colour and 0 lux with the illuminator on.

Can it be powered over PoE?

Yes. It accepts 12 VDC or PoE (802.3af). Dahua quotes 2.9W basic and 5.3W maximum on PoE.

Does it have a Micro SD slot?

Dahua's datasheet lists FTP as the storage option for this series and does not list a Micro SD slot, so plan to record to a PoE NVR or to FTP.

Is it an ONVIF camera?

Yes. Dahua lists ONVIF (Profile S and Profile T), so it can be added to recorders that support ONVIF.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

It is IP67 rated and operates from -40 to +60 degrees C, so it can be mounted outdoors.
