The Dahua DH-IPC-HFW5442EP-ZE-2712-ATC-S is the UK part code for Dahua's IPC-HFW5442E-ZE, a 4MP bullet camera from the WizMind 5 Series (WizMind S range). A large 1/1.8" sensor with AI-ISP gives very good low-light images, and the motorised 2.7–12mm lens lets you zoom and focus remotely. IR reaches up to 60m.
Who is it for?
This is a professional camera for commercial sites: retail, warehouses, car parks, schools and business premises that need more than simple motion alerts. On top of perimeter protection with human, vehicle and animal classification, it offers face detection, people counting and queue management, heat maps, video metadata (vehicle, non-motor vehicle, person and face attributes), smart object detection and smart sound detection.

What you will need
- A PoE switch or PoE NVR port (802.3af), or a 12V DC power supply
- An NVR to record and play back, ideally a Dahua WizMind NVR to use face, metadata and people counting search
- Cat5e or Cat6 cable, up to 100m per run (longer with ePoE on a compatible Dahua switch or NVR)
Frequently asked questions
Can I zoom remotely?
Yes. The 2.7–12mm lens is motorised, so zoom and focus are set from the NVR, web interface or software.
Does it detect animals?
Yes. Perimeter protection classifies humans, vehicles and animals, and AcuPick 2.0 can search recordings for people, vehicles and animals.
Does it count people?
Yes. It supports tripwire people counting, area counting and queue management, with day, week, month and year reports.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. Recording is local to your NVR or the camera's micro SD card, and the Dahua app is free.
