Dahua DH-SD5A445GB-HNR - 4MP 2K Starlight IR WizSense AI PTZ IP CCTV Camera

The Dahua DH-SD5A445GB-HNR is a 4MP 2K WizSense AI PTZ IP CCTV camera with 45x optical zoom, Starlight low light imaging and infrared (IR) night vision up to 150 m. As a pan tilt zoom camera it pans endlessly through 0° to 360° and tilts from -15° to +90°, and as an infrared camera it uses 4 IR illuminators to reach 150 m, with 0 lux operation when the IR is on. Dahua names it the "4MP 45x Starlight IR WizSense Network PTZ Camera" and describes the housing as a black semicircular sphere that monitors from a distance without drawing attention.

Also listed as SD5A445GB-HNR.

Common questions

What does WizSense mean on the SD5A445GB-HNR?

Dahua lists this camera in its WizSense series, a range of AI products that use an independent AI chip and deep-learning algorithms and focus on humans and vehicles. Our WizSense guide explains the range.

What does 45x optical zoom mean in practice?

The lens runs from 3.95 mm to 177.75 mm, so you can go from a wide overview (65.7° horizontal) to a very narrow view (1.9° horizontal). Dahua's DORI figures are in the table above: detect up to 2,451.7 m and identify up to 245.2 m. DORI follows the EN 62676-4 standard and does not reflect the distances of intelligent functions.

How far can it see at night?

Dahua lists IR illumination up to 150 m, with 0.005 lux minimum illumination in colour, 0.0005 lux in black and white and 0 lux with the IR on. Our Starlight guide explains Starlight low light imaging.

How does the auto tracking work?

Auto Tracking 3.0 controls the pan, tilt and zoom actions of the camera to follow an object in motion and keep it in view. It can be triggered manually or by defined rules, after which the camera can zoom in and track the target automatically.

Can it count people?

Yes. Dahua lists people counting: tripwire counting of people at entrances and exits, counting people staying in an area or queuing, and reports by day, week and month.

How is it powered?

It runs from 24 VDC 2.5 A (±25%) or PoE+ (802.3at). Power use is basic 10 W and maximum 22 W with the illuminator, heater and fan working.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. It has IP67 and IK10 ratings with TVS 6000 V lightning, surge and voltage transient protection, and Dahua lists an operating range of -40°C to +70°C.
