The Dahua DHI-NVR5432-XI is a 32-channel WizMind Series network video recorder built for AI-driven surveillance on larger sites. It supports IP cameras up to 32MP with 512 Mbps incoming/recording/outgoing bandwidth, and its onboard AI engine runs face detection and recognition, video metadata analysis, ANPR and perimeter protection directly on the recorder. It has no built-in PoE ports, so it's designed to sit alongside a separate PoE switch that powers and connects your cameras.

What you will need
- Surveillance-grade hard drives — standard desktop drives aren't rated for continuous recording. The DHI-NVR5432-XI has 4 bays, each supporting up to 20TB.
- A separate PoE switch to power and connect your IP cameras, as this NVR has no built-in PoE ports.
- Cat5e/Cat6 network cabling for each camera run back to your PoE switch.
- An HDMI or VGA monitor for initial setup and local configuration.
