What you will need
- Surveillance-grade hard drives (up to 20TB per bay, 4 bays) — standard desktop drives are not rated for continuous CCTV recording.
- This model has standard RJ-45 network ports rather than built-in PoE, so IP cameras need a separate PoE switch to power and connect them.
- Suitable network cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) from each camera back to the PoE switch and recorder.
- An HDMI or VGA monitor for initial setup and local menu configuration.

Does it need special cameras for AI features?

Will it work with non-Dahua IP cameras?
