Dahua DHI-NVR5432-XI/Pro

The Dahua DHI-NVR5432-XI/Pro is a 32 channel network video recorder from Dahua's WizMind NVR series, in a 1.5U case with four SATA bays, each taking a disk of up to 26TB. It suits larger sites that want AI search on the recorder itself, such as offices, schools, warehouses and retail units.

It accepts IP cameras up to 32MP, with 512 Mbps incoming and recording bandwidth and 384 Mbps outgoing when AI is off, or 200 Mbps each way when AI is on. Two HDMI outputs with resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 and two VGA outputs can drive separate screens, and the two gigabit network ports support multi-address, load balancing and fault tolerance.

Dahua's Xinghan large-scale AI models power WizSeek, which searches recordings from a plain-language description, and text-defined alarms. With those models enabled the recorder runs 8 channels each of face detection and recognition, video metadata and AcuPick, and 16 channels of perimeter protection. What is WizSeek?

WizSeek is natural-language video search for human, vehicle, object and event, powered by Dahua's Xinghan large-scale AI model. It works with cameras that support AcuPick, IVS, metadata or SMD, or with normal cameras after AcuPick or metadata is enabled on the NVR (up to 8 channels).

Which AI functions run on the recorder itself?

AI by recorder covers 8-channel face detection and recognition, 8-channel video metadata, 8-channel AcuPick and 16-channel perimeter protection (these figures apply with the Xinghan AI models enabled; with them disabled the datasheet lists 16 channels for face, metadata and AcuPick and 32 for perimeter protection).

How much storage can I fit?

There are 4 SATA ports, each disk up to 26 TB (Dahua notes the limit varies with environment temperature), plus 1 eSATA port. Use the Hard Drive option on this page to order this NVR with hard drive, or choose the recorder only.

Does it have PoE ports?

The datasheet lists two RJ-45 10/100/1000 Mbps network ports and no PoE ports, so connect cameras through a network switch. For PoE cameras use a PoE switch.

Does it work with other camera brands?

It supports ONVIF 25.06 (Profile T, S, G and M) and lists Panasonic, Sony, Axis, Arecont, Pelco, Canon and Hanwha for third-party camera access.

Can it show video on two screens?

Yes. It has two HDMI and two VGA outputs. HDMI supports up to 7680 x 4320 and VGA up to 1920 x 1080. HDMI1 and HDMI2 can show different video sources, while VGA1 mirrors HDMI1 and VGA2 mirrors HDMI2.

Can it check number plates?

Yes, with ANPR cameras. Dahua lists ANPR by camera on all channels, and a plate database of up to 20,000 numbers with a blocklist and an allowlist.

What alarm connections does it have?

It has 16 alarm inputs and 6 alarm outputs, one of which is a 12 V 1 A output.
