Dahua DH-PSDW81642SP-A360-D425-DC36V - 16MP 360 Degree Panoramic PTZ Camera

Dahua DH-PSDW81642SP-A360-D425-DC36V - 16MP 360 Degree Panoramic PTZ Camera

The Dahua DH-PSDW81642SP-A360-D425-DC36V is a 16MP multi-sensor 360 degree panoramic PTZ IP CCTV camera from the Dahua WizMind range (a Mini Hubble camera). It combines a panoramic channel of 8 x 2MP sensors with a separate 4MP PTZ camera that has 25x optical zoom, so one mounting point gives a full panoramic view and close-up detail through smart tracking. The specifications below are taken from Dahua's datasheet for the DH-PSDW81642S-A360-D425, the same model without the P in the code, which Dahua lists with a DC 36V power supply.

Also listed as PSDW81642SP-A360-D425-DC36V.

With IP67 protection and an operating range of -40 °C to +60 °C it works as an outdoor PTZ camera. The panoramic channel acts as a wide angle CCTV camera with a 360° horizontal and 103° vertical field of view, while the 4MP PTZ channel is a pan tilt zoom camera that pans 0° to 360° and tilts -10° to 90° with 25x optical zoom for close-ups.

Key features

• Panoramic channel: 8 x 2MP 1/1.8 inch CMOS sensors, 8192 x 1800, 360° horizontal and 103° vertical field of view
• PTZ channel: 4MP 1/1.8 inch CMOS, 25x optical zoom (5.3 mm to 134 mm) and 16x digital zoom
• Smart tracking: the PTZ camera works with the panoramic camera to track targets and show detail; it can track automatically or manually
• PTZ camera built-in 4 IR LEDs, up to 100 m illumination; 0 lux with the illuminator on
• H.265 and Smart H.265+ compression, 3 streams, 3D NR, HLC, BLC, ROI
• Intelligent functions. Panoramic: perimeter protection, vehicle density, crowd distribution map. PTZ: perimeter protection, face detection, video metadata
• AR Panorama: camera tags are overlaid on the panoramic image, and clicking a tag shows that camera's video
• Built-in dual microphone and dual speaker, with two-way talk
• IP67 protection, -40 °C to +60 °C operating temperature, powered by DC 36V

Technical specification

DORI distances

DORI (Detect, Observe, Recognise, Identify) is a standard system (EN 62676-4). Dahua notes the figures do not reflect intelligent function distances.

Works with

Dahua lists these mounts for this camera: the DH-PFB303W-SG wall mount bracket, the DH-PFA150-SG pole mount bracket and the DH-PFA151 corner mount bracket. Related: the DH-PSDW81652SP-A360-D440-DC36V 16MP panoramic PTZ camera with 40x zoom.

Common questions

Is the DH-PSDW81642SP-A360-D425-DC36V a PoE camera?

Dahua lists a DC 36V power supply for this model and does not list PoE, and a 36 VDC 5A power adapter is listed as included. Plan a 36VDC supply rather than a PoE port.

What does WizMind mean?

WizMind is Dahua's project-oriented AI range, built on deep learning algorithms. Read our WizMind guide for what it adds.

What is the difference between the panoramic and PTZ channels?

The panoramic camera has 8 sensors that cover 360° horizontally in one 8192 x 1800 view. The separate 4MP PTZ camera has 25x optical zoom and works with smart tracking to follow targets and show detail.

How far can the PTZ camera see at night?

The PTZ camera has 4 built-in IR LEDs with an illumination distance of up to 100 m. The panoramic channel has no IR.

Does it have a microphone and speaker?

Yes. Dahua lists a built-in dual microphone and dual speaker for two-way talk.

Which analytics does it support?

Panoramic: perimeter protection, vehicle density and crowd distribution map. PTZ: perimeter protection, face detection and video metadata.
