The Dahua ASR2201A- is a slim, water-proof card and password reader for access control systems. It reads 125KHz ID cards, has a touch keypad for PIN entry, and communicates over RS-485 or Wiegand (W26/W34) protocol to a separate access controller.

Who is it for?

This reader is designed to be wall or door-frame mounted at an entry point, where it captures a card presentation or keypad PIN and passes the credential back to an access controller over RS-485 or Wiegand. It does not make access decisions on its own — a compatible Dahua access controller (or third-party panel accepting Wiegand/RS-485 input) is required behind it to manage the door lock.
