The Dahua DHI-ASC2202B-S is a 2-door, 1-way networked access controller that communicates over TCP/IP and uses dual RS-485 and Wiegand protocols to manage connected access control hardware, rather than being a card reader itself.
Who is it for?
This controller is the decision-making unit behind an access control installation, sitting in a comms cabinet or riser and switching the door locks once a connected reader has verified a card, fingerprint or code. It needs a separate compatible reader (and lock hardware) wired to its RS-485/Wiegand ports to form a complete working door — it is not something end users interact with directly.

- Network cabling back to your LAN for TCP/IP management
