Dahua DHI-ASR2200A — Mifare Card & Password Access Reader
The Dahua DHI-ASR2200A is a slim, waterproof IC card and password access reader that recognises non-contact Mifare Classic 1K cards at 13.56MHz. It is a reader only — it connects to a separate access control panel rather than making decisions on its own.
Who is it for?
The ASR2200A suits installers fitting or upgrading a door's card/PIN credential point on an existing or new Dahua access control system. Because it is a reader rather than a controller, it needs to be wired back to a compatible access controller (such as a Dahua ASC-series panel) that actually makes the unlock decision and drives the door hardware. It communicates over RS-485 or Wiegand 34, so it will suit most standard access controller inputs.

What you will need
- A compatible access controller (e.g. a Dahua ASC-series panel) to wire the reader into — the ASR2200A does not make unlock decisions by itself
- A door lock or strike, and its own power supply
- Cabling for RS-485 or Wiegand 34 between the reader and the controller
- Mifare Classic 1K cards or fobs to present to the reader (password entry is built in)
