Product Description

Product Specifications

Dahua DHI-ASR1101M-V1 — Vandal-proof Indoor Card Reader and Keypad

The Dahua DHI-ASR1101M-V1 is a vandal-proof indoor card reader with a mechanical keypad for access control. It reads Mifare Classic 1K (13.56MHz) IC cards and accepts a password, with three verification modes: card, password, or card and password combined. It sends the data to an access controller over RS-485 or Wiegand, and the controller makes the door-release decision.

Also listed as ASR1101M-V1.

Key features

Contactless Mifare Classic 1K (13.56MHz) card reading, with card, password, or card and password verification.
Metal keypad with a backlight that beeps on each key press; mechanical keypad for operation.
RS-485 and Wiegand communication; W26 and W34 Wiegand supported, with W34 as the default.
IK08 impact protection, zinc alloy casing and tamper alarm.
Buzzer and indicator light prompts; online updates.
Overcurrent and overvoltage protection on all interfaces; lightning-proof, antistatic and anti-short-circuit design.
Surface mount or 86 case mount (an 86 mount box is required).

Common questions

Does the DHI-ASR1101M-V1 work on its own?

No. It is a card and password reader only, and needs to be wired to an access controller, which handles the door-release decision.

What card types does it read?

Mifare Classic 1K (13.56MHz) IC cards. Dahua does not list 125KHz EM-ID card reading for this model.

Can I enter a PIN instead of using a card?

Yes. It works as a PIN reader on its mechanical keypad, and Dahua lists three verification modes: card, password, and a combination of card and password.

How does it connect to an access controller?

Over RS-485 or Wiegand, supporting W26 and W34 with W34 as the default.

Can it be used outdoors?

No. Dahua lists it for indoor use, with IK08 vandal protection.
