The Dahua DH-XVR5108HS-4KL-I3(V2.0) is an 8 channel 4K Penta-brid WizSense XVR CCTV DVR (digital video recorder) in a Compact 1U case with one hard drive bay. It is a hybrid DVR: one recorder takes HDCVI, AHD, TVI, CVBS and IP cameras, with up to 16 IP channels of up to 8MP, so an existing coax system can be upgraded camera by camera. Common questions

What does (V2.0) mean?

Dahua's datasheet states that this feature list applies to hardware version 2.0 of the model. The version without (V2.0) is listed separately on our site and has its own Dahua datasheet, so check the exact model before ordering: DH-XVR5108HS-4KL-I3.

What is QuickPick 2.0?

It uses the back-end perimeter protection algorithm to identify the colour of clothing and vehicles and to detect various types of hats, clothing and vehicles, which Dahua says improves the accuracy of searches. This recorder provides it on 2 analogue channels.

What does privacy protection do?

It masks human faces that are detected in real time and can then remove the mask, so the privacy of specific individuals is protected. This recorder provides it on 1 channel.

Can I mix analogue and IP cameras?

Yes. This CCTV recorder takes 8 IP channels by default and up to 16 when the analogue channels are converted to IP. Dahua states that once IP extension is enabled, EPTZ, video quality analytics, scene changing, face recognition, face detection, SMD, perimeter protection, QuickPick 2.0 and privacy protection cannot be used. Which AI functions run on the recorder?
