Dahua DH-XVR5108HS-X — 8 Channel 1080P Penta-brid XVR CCTV DVR
The Dahua DH-XVR5108HS-X (also written XVR5108HS-X) is an 8 channel 1080P Penta-brid XVR CCTV DVR (digital video recorder) from Dahua's Lite Series, in a Compact 1U case with one hard drive bay. It is a hybrid DVR: one recorder takes HDCVI, AHD, TVI, CVBS and IP cameras, so an existing coax system can be upgraded camera by camera. Which cameras can I connect?

What is the Lite Series?
Dahua describes the Lite Series as designed for high cost performance and quality, using Smart H.265+/H.265 to improve encoding efficiency and reduce bandwidth and storage costs.
How far can HDCVI run over coax?
Dahua states that the HDCVI system supports long distance transmission over coaxial cable and UTP, up to 700m for 4K/4MP, 800m for 1080P and 1200m for 720P.
What intelligent functions does it have?
Dahua lists an Intelligent Video System with tripwire analytics, optional standard intelligence such as abandoned or missing object detection, face detection and Smart Search, which helps you find motion in a drawn region during playback.
Does it have alarm inputs or relay outputs?
No. The datasheet lists alarm input and relay output as not available. Video loss, tampering and motion detection are supported.
How much storage can I fit?
One SATA port, up to 10TB.
