The DH-IPC-HDW2849TMP-S-PV-0280B is an 8MP (3840 × 2160) eyeball network camera from Dahua's WizSense range, fitted with a 2.8mm fixed lens for a wide 111° field of view. SMD Plus and IVS perimeter protection (intrusion and tripwire) classify human and vehicle activity to cut false alarms, and the camera combines IR and warm-light illumination up to 30m with a built-in mic, speaker and audible alarm for active deterrence.
Who is it for?

Frequently asked questions
Will this camera work with a non-Dahua NVR?
Yes — it supports ONVIF (Profile S, G and T), so it can be added to most third-party NVRs, though some Dahua-specific AI features may only be exposed on a Dahua recorder.
Does it need a separate power supply?
No — it can be powered over the network cable via PoE (802.3af), or with a standalone 12VDC supply if PoE isn't available.
How much storage will I need?
At 8MP with H.265 compression, allow for a higher bitrate than a standard 2MP camera; size your NVR's storage (or NAS/microSD) around your recording frame rate, retention period and number of channels.
Can I use the two-way audio and warm light?
Yes — the built-in mic and speaker support two-way talk, and the warm light can be triggered as a visual warning alongside the audible alarm for active deterrence.
