Technical specification

Detection distances (DORI)

DORI is the EN 62676-4 way of describing how far a viewer can detect, observe, recognise and identify a person. Dahua gives these figures for the lens range of this camera.

Works with

• Dahua DH-PFA154 pole mount bracket (listed by Dahua as an optional accessory for this camera)

What you will need

• A PoE+ (802.3at) switch or recorder port, or a 12 VDC or 24 VAC power supply.
• An NVR that records 4MP, and Cat5e or Cat6 cabling from the camera to the recorder or switch.
• A PoE switch between the camera and the recorder for long runs or several cameras.
• Clear CCTV signage where the camera covers a public or shared area, even with privacy protection enabled.

Common questions

What does WizMind mean?

WizMind is Dahua's AI camera range, built around deep learning algorithms. Dahua lists this camera as a 4MP IR Bullet WizMind Network Camera. Read more in our guide to Dahua WizMind cameras.

Is this a 2K camera?

Yes. It is a 4MP camera with a maximum resolution of 2688 × 1520, recording the main stream at up to 50/60 fps.

Does it have Starlight low-light performance?

Dahua lists Starlight+ for this camera: 0.001 lux in colour and 0.0002 lux in black and white at F1.2, and 0 lux with the IR on. Read more in our guide to Dahua Starlight low-light cameras.

How far can the infrared see?

The IR illumination reaches 60m. For a person, Dahua gives detect, observe, recognise and identify distances of 60.1m, 24m, 12m and 6m at the wide end of the lens (see the DORI table above).

How is it powered?

By 12 VDC, 24 VAC or PoE+ (802.3at). Dahua notes that the power ports differ depending on the supply. Basic power consumption is 5.11W on 12 VDC and 7.62W on PoE.

Will it work with a recorder that is not Dahua?

It supports ONVIF Profile S, G and T, so it can be added to compatible third-party recorders. Dahua's refined intelligent search works together with a Dahua Smart NVR.

Can it count people and recognise faces?

Yes. It supports face detection, face recognition and people counting (tripwire and in-area counting, and queue management) on the camera.

Is it a waterproof, weatherproof outdoor CCTV camera?

Yes. Dahua rates it IP67 and IK10, for operation from -40°C to +65°C, so it can be mounted outdoors as a waterproof, weatherproof CCTV camera.

Is it a smart camera?

Yes. Face detection, face recognition, people counting, video metadata, PPE detection and perimeter protection run on the camera itself.
