The DH-IPC-PFW5849P-A180-E2-ASTE is a Dahua WizMind dual-lens bullet camera that uses two 4MP sensors, splicing their images together to cover a full 180° field of view from a single fixed position. Full-colour imaging keeps footage in colour day and night, and a built-in microphone and speaker let you talk to visitors or intruders in real time.

Who is it for?

IP cameras carry video and PoE power over one Cat5e/Cat6 cable to a PoE NVR – ideal when cabling from scratch or wanting resolutions/analytics beyond coax. The wide 180° splicing view from two 4MP sensors makes this camera well suited to covering long walls, car parks, loading bays or shopfronts where a single fixed lens would leave gaps, without the cost or moving parts of a multi-sensor PTZ. Yes. It supports ONVIF, so it can be added to most third-party NVRs and VMS software, though some Dahua-specific features may only be available on a Dahua NVR.

Does it need a separate power supply?

No – it is powered over the same Cat5e/Cat6 cable as the video feed (PoE) from a PoE NVR or switch, so no separate power run is needed.

How much storage will I need?

Storage depends on resolution, frame rate, compression and how many cameras are recording continuously versus on motion – as a starting point, budget more storage per camera for this model than for a single 4MP unit, since it streams two 4MP sensors.

Can it be used indoors as well as outdoors?

Yes, the IP67 rating makes it suitable for outdoor use, and it works equally well mounted indoors for wide-coverage areas such as corridors or open-plan spaces.
