The Dahua DH-IPC-PFW5849P-A180-E2-ASTE is an 8MP 4K WizMind AI bullet IP CCTV camera, a smart camera built on WizMind deep learning algorithms. It splices two 4MP sensors into one 180 degree panoramic image from a single fixed position, gives full-colour night vision images in low light with its built-in warm light, and has a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way talk. The "P" in the model number marks the PAL version in Dahua's ordering information. It suits long walls, car parks, loading bays and shopfronts where a single fixed lens would leave gaps.

Common questions

What does WizMind mean?

WizMind is Dahua's range of project-oriented products that use deep learning algorithms. Dahua lists this camera in its WizMind 5 series, which includes perimeter protection and people counting. Our WizMind guide explains the range.

Is it a 4K camera?

It outputs up to 8MP (4096 × 1800) at up to 25 fps. That is 4K-class width, but in a wide panoramic shape made from two 4MP sensors, not a single 16:9 image at 3840 × 2160.

How wide is the view, and how far can it see?

The view is 180° horizontally (±10°) and 48° vertically, from two fixed 3.6 mm lenses spliced into one image for wide-area coverage. Dahua's DORI figures are above: 70.3 m to detect a person, 7.0 m to identify one.

Does it have IR night vision?

No. It is a night vision camera without IR: it has a built-in warm light (4 illuminators, up to 40 m) and keeps the image in full colour in low light, with 0.0005 lux minimum illumination in colour. Dahua lists a starlight solution and an F1.0 aperture lens: see our Starlight guide.

Is it waterproof, and can I use it outdoors?

Yes. Dahua lists IP67 protection and an operating range of -40 °C to +60 °C, so this waterproof camera works as an outdoor CCTV camera.

Can it count people?

Yes. Dahua lists people counting of enter, leave and pass numbers, counting of the number of people in an area, and queue management, plus heat map. Reports are produced with a management platform.

Can I talk through the camera?

Yes. It has a built-in microphone and speaker and supports two-way talk.

How is it powered, and will it work with a recorder that is not Dahua?

It runs on PoE+ (802.3at), ePoE or 12 VDC and uses up to 13.8 W on PoE. It supports ONVIF Profile S, G and T, so it can be added to compatible third-party recorders.
