Dahua DH-HAC-HDW1509TP-IL-A-POC-0280B-S2 - 5MP 3K HDCVI PoC IR Eyeball CCTV Camera

Dahua DH-HAC-HDW1509TP-IL-A-POC-0280B-S2 — 5MP 3K HDCVI PoC IR Night Vision Turret Eyeball CCTV Camera

The Dahua DH-HAC-HDW1509TP-IL-A-POC-0280B-S2 is a 5MP 3K HDCVI PoC IR turret CCTV camera with Smart Dual Light and a 2.8mm lens, from Dahua's Lite Series. Dahua's own name for this housing is "eyeball". It has both IR and warm LED lights: with a Dahua AI XVR, the warm light switches on when Perimeter Protection or SMD Plus detects a target in the rule area, giving a colour picture, and the camera then returns to IR to cut light pollution. A PoC recorder can power it over the coax cable (PoC works in CVI mode only). Its datasheet describes the Lite Series as ideal for residential areas and small and medium business solutions. Rated IP67 (dust-tight and protected against immersion), it can be mounted outdoors, and its IR LEDs reach up to 40m.

Also listed as HAC-HDW1509TP-IL-A-POC-0280B-S2, or as DH-HAC-HDW1509TP-IL-A-POC-S2.

Common questions

Is this a dome camera?

No. Dahua lists it as an eyeball camera, a housing style often called a turret.

Is this a 3K camera?

Its maximum picture is 2880 × 1620 (5MP, 16:9), the size usually sold as 3K. Dahua lists 25 fps at 5MP over CVI.

What is Smart Dual Light?

Smart Dual Light gives the camera both IR and warm light. With a Dahua AI XVR, the warm light switches on when Perimeter Protection or SMD Plus detects a target in the rule area, and the camera returns to IR when the target leaves. Our Smart Dual Light cameras explained guide has more detail.

Do I need an AI XVR?

The automatic switch from IR to warm light is triggered by the Perimeter Protection or SMD Plus function of an AI XVR. Dahua also lists warm light only and IR only modes.

How is it powered?

From a PoC recorder over the coax cable (PoC works in CVI mode only), or from 12 VDC ±30%.

Which recorder do I need?

To use the 5MP 16:9 picture and Smart Dual Light, Dahua says the XVR firmware must be V4.001.0000001.0.R.200908 or later. Our Penta-brid recorders explained guide covers recorders that take HDCVI cameras.

Does it record sound?

Yes. It has a built-in microphone, and HDCVI sends the audio back over the coaxial cable.
