Dahua DH-IPC-HDW3849HP-ZAS-PV-27135 - 8MP 4K TiOC WizSense AI Eyeball Turret IP CCTV Camera

The Dahua DH-IPC-HDW3849HP-ZAS-PV-27135 is an 8MP 4K WizSense AI IP CCTV camera in an eyeball housing, also called a turret camera, with a motorised varifocal lens. Dahua calls it an 8MP Smart Dual Light Active Deterrence camera: IR reaches up to 50 m, warm light up to 40 m, and a siren and light alarm with red and blue lights adds active deterrence. Two-way talk and SMD 4.0 detection are built in.

Also listed as IPC-HDW3849HP-ZAS-PV-27135.

Technical specification

How far it can see (Dahua DORI figures)

Dahua datasheet figures (EN 62676-4), at the wide (W) and tele (T) ends of the lens. They do not reflect intelligent function distances.

Works with

• Dahua PFA137 junction box
• Dahua DH-PFB220C ceiling mount bracket
• Dahua DH-PFA152-E pole mount bracket
• Dahua DH-PFM900-E-V2 integrated mount tester

Common questions

Is it a waterproof outdoor security camera?

Yes. Its IP67 housing is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in water, so it can be mounted outdoors.

Is it an infrared camera?

Yes. Smart Dual Light uses the IR illuminator at night, up to 50 m, and the warm light adds full-colour video when a target appears.

Is it a motion detection camera?

Yes. SMD 4.0 smart motion detection, with tripwire and intrusion rules, classifies humans and vehicles.

What is active deterrence?

Dahua siren and light active deterrence gives a light alarm and a voice alarm when a perimeter event occurs. The camera has multiple voices to choose from and supports importing your own voice file. The lights are red and blue.

What is Smart Dual Light?

Dahua Smart Dual Light usually uses the IR illuminator at night; when a target appears the warm light comes on and the camera records full-colour video of the event, then returns to IR when the target leaves. See our Smart Dual Light guide.

Is it a TiOC camera?

Dahua lists the IPC-HDW3849H-ZAS-PV in its TiOC range. See our TiOC guide.

Is it a 4K camera?

Yes. It is an 8MP camera with a maximum 3840 × 2160 image, which is 4K.

What does the varifocal lens give me?

The motorised vari-focal lens runs from 2.7 mm (108° horizontal view) to 13.5 mm (34° horizontal view), so one camera can cover a wide scene or reach a distant target.

Does it need a separate power supply?

It runs on 12 VDC or PoE (802.3af), using up to 11.6 W on PoE. A PoE switch can power it over the network cable.

Will it work with a recorder that is not Dahua?

It supports ONVIF Profile S, G and T, so it can be added to compatible third-party recorders. Quick Pick needs an AI NVR. See our NVRs.
