Dahua DH-XVR5104H-4KL-I3-4P — 4 Channel 4K PoC CCTV DVR

The Dahua DH-XVR5104H-4KL-I3-4P is a 4 channel Penta-brid 4K PoC CCTV DVR from Dahua's WizSense range, in a Mini 1U desktop chassis with one hard drive bay. Its 4 BNC inputs auto-detect HDCVI, AHD, TVI and CVBS cameras, it accepts up to 8 IP camera channels, and HDCVI PoC sends power and video over the same coax cable. As a CCTV recorder it stores footage on a SATA hard drive. Dahua names it the 4CH Penta-brid 4K Value/5MP Mini 1U 1HDD WizSense Digital Video Recorder.

Common questions

What does Penta-brid mean?

Dahua lists support for HDCVI, AHD, TVI, CVBS and IP video input on one recorder, so analogue and IP cameras can share it. See our guide to Dahua Penta-brid recorders.

Does it power the cameras?

Yes, for PoC cameras. Dahua lists PoC on all channels for PoC AT and PoC AF cameras, so power and video travel on the same coax cable. Cameras that are not PoC need their own power.

Can I add IP cameras?

Yes. It takes 4 IP channels by default and up to 8 when analogue channels are converted to IP. Once IP extension is enabled, EPTZ, video quality analytics, scene changing, face recognition, face detection, SMD, perimeter protection, QuickPick 2.0 and privacy protection cannot be used.

What resolution can it show and record?

HDMI output is up to 3840 × 2160 (4K). Analogue inputs go up to 4K depending on the camera and protocol, and each IP channel can be up to 8MP.

Do I need AI cameras for SMD Plus and perimeter protection?

No. Dahua lists SMD Plus and perimeter protection for the analogue channels by recorder, so standard analogue cameras can use them. See our WizSense guide.

Can I talk through the cameras?

Dahua lists two-way talk, sharing the audio input of the first channel, with 4 BNC coaxial audio inputs.

Does it come with a hard drive?

It has one SATA bay for a drive of up to 16 TB. Choose a drive from the Hard Drive option on this page to order this DVR with hard drive, or choose recorder only and supply your own.
