The DHI-NVR5432-EI2 is a 32 channel network video recorder in a 1.5U case with four hard drive bays. It suits multi-camera sites such as warehouses, schools, retail units and blocks of flats, where you want more storage than a 2-bay recorder and the option of rack mounting.

It records IP cameras up to 32MP and handles 448 Mbps of incoming video with AI off (200 Mbps with AI on). Each of the four SATA bays takes a disk up to 26 TB. Two HDMI outputs (one up to 8K) and two VGA outputs let you drive separate screens, and two gigabit network ports support load balancing or fault tolerance.

The recorder runs its own AI on selected channels: 4 channels of face detection and recognition, 8 of perimeter protection, 16 of SMD Plus and 4 of AcuPick. WizSeek lets you search footage using plain-language descriptions. It has 16 alarm inputs and 6 outputs. It has no PoE ports, so cameras connect through a separate PoE switch.

Does the NVR5432-EI2 have PoE ports?

The Dahua datasheet lists no PoE ports for this recorder. It has 2 x RJ-45 network ports (10/100/1000 Mbps), so IP cameras are normally powered through a separate PoE switch.

Does 8K HDMI output mean it records 8K?

The datasheet lists 8K (7680 x 4320) as the HDMI output resolution for monitors, and states support for IP cameras up to 32 MP. Recording is limited by the bandwidth figures above.

Which AI features run on the recorder itself?

Face detection and recognition, video metadata, perimeter protection, SMD Plus, AcuPick, WizSeek and Text-Defined Alarm. ANPR, stereo analysis, people counting, heat map and PPE detection are listed as AI by camera, so they need a camera that supports them.

Can it record from non-Dahua IP cameras?

Dahua lists ONVIF 25.12 (Profile T, S, G and M) and third-party camera access for Panasonic, Sony, Axis, Arecont, Pelco, Canon and Hanwha.

Does it record audio?

It has 32 audio and video access channels, so it can record audio from cameras that have a microphone. It also has a 1-channel RCA audio input and a 2-channel RCA audio output.
