The Grandstream WP810 is a cordless Wi-Fi phone (a Wi-Fi IP phone and wireless VoIP phone) that joins your Wi-Fi network on either the 2.4GHz or the 5GHz band and registers with your SIP server, PBX or hosted VoIP service, with 2 SIP accounts, HD voice, a 1.8-inch colour display and a rated 6-hour talk time. The pack includes the handset, rechargeable battery, charging cradle, power adapter and belt clip. Check before ordering: the WP810 connects over Wi-Fi only (it is not a DECT handset and has no Bluetooth), so you need a SIP service and good Wi-Fi coverage where it will be used.
The Grandstream WP810 is a cordless Wi-Fi phone: a Wi-Fi IP phone and wireless VoIP phone that connects to your wireless network instead of a cable or a DECT base station and makes and receives calls over SIP. It supports 2 SIP accounts and 2 lines, uses dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi with roaming support, and has a 1.8-inch colour display, HD voice with a dual-microphone design, a customisable push-to-talk button and a 1500mAh rechargeable battery rated at 6 hours of talk time and 120 hours of standby. It is supplied with a charging cradle, belt clip and power adapter.
A Wi-Fi handset suits people who need to take calls while they move around a site rather than sit at a desk. Grandstream's documentation points to retail, logistics, medical and security settings, and also to warehouses, hotels and homes, and its user guide describes the phone as a way of mobilising your VoIP network. Because the WP810 uses your existing Wi-Fi network and registers to a SIP server, PBX or hosted VoIP service, it does not need a separate DECT base station. The pack includes a belt clip, the handset has a vibration motor and a backlit keypad, and its customisable button can be set up for push-to-talk (PTT) or paging.

The WP810 is a SIP phone, so it needs a SIP server, IP PBX or hosted VoIP service to register with, and a Wi-Fi network that the handset can join on 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Grandstream's user guide uses its own UCM6xxx IP PBX series in its voicemail and conference-room examples, but the datasheet and user guide do not list other compatible PBX systems or service providers, so please check with your provider or PBX supplier before you order. A Wi-Fi handset relies on your wireless network, so check that coverage reaches every area where it will be used. It connects over Wi-Fi only: it has no Bluetooth, so a headset has to use the 3.5mm jack. Grandstream's quick installation guide also notes that the WP810 is not pre-configured to support or make emergency calls and that you must make additional arrangements to access emergency services.
We are a UK supplier, not an installer, and we will go through the WP810 with you before you buy so you can check it suits your Wi-Fi set-up and your phone service. Our trade counter is in Wolverhampton and we have been operating since 2012. You can also browse more DECT and wireless IP phones.
No. The WP810 is a Wi-Fi phone, a cordless Wi-Fi telephone handset, rather than a DECT one. It joins your Wi-Fi network on either the 2.4GHz or the 5GHz band and registers to your SIP server, PBX or hosted VoIP service instead of pairing with a DECT base station. The handset is supplied with a charging cradle and a belt clip.
Grandstream lists Bluetooth as not supported on the WP810. The handset has a 3.5mm headset jack and a Micro-USB port, so a headset would need to connect through the jack. Call us on 01902 902251 if you want to check a particular headset before you order.
Grandstream lists the handset unit, universal power supply, charging cradle, belt clip, 1 Li-ion battery and a quick installation guide.
