Who is this 4MP ColorVu IP kit for?
A complete wired IP system that records in colour day and night: the NVR-104MH-C/4P 4-channel PoE NVR with four IPC-T249HAA-LU 4MP ColorVu 3.0 turrets. One Cat5e/Cat6 cable per camera carries both power and video, so there are no camera power supplies to fit. 4MP gives noticeably more detail than 1080p for faces and vehicles, and smart hybrid light keeps the picture in colour after dark. It suits houses, shops, offices and small yards. Need more than four cameras? Choose an 8-channel kit.
What you’ll need with it
- A surveillance-grade hard drive — choose one from the options and we fit and format it; 2TB suits a 4-camera 4MP system.
- Cat5e/Cat6 cable to each camera position (up to 100m per run) — the optional Plug and Play Cable covers four 20m runs — and a network cable from the NVR to your router.
- An HDMI screen for setup; day to day most people use the app.
Frequently asked questions
Do the cameras need their own power?
No — the NVR’s four PoE ports power them over the network cable.
Is the night vision in colour?
Yes — ColorVu 3.0 smart hybrid light switches to white light to record in colour, or uses infrared when you prefer no visible light.
Does it record sound?
Yes — each IPC-T249HAA-LU has a built-in microphone.
Is a hard drive included?
Not by default — pick one from the Hard Drive option and we fit and format it.
Is there a monthly fee?
No — recording is local to the NVR and the app is free.
