Yes, via ONVIF. You will get standard live view and recording, though Dahua-specific features such as the active deterrence lighting/alarm triggers and the deep learning classification work best with a Dahua NVR.

Does the camera need a separate power supply?

No if you power it over PoE from a compatible NVR or PoE switch. If your NVR/switch does not supply PoE, a separate 12V DC power supply is needed instead.

How much storage will I need?
