Dahua DH-IPC-PDW3849P-A180-E2-AS-PV-0280B - 8MP Dual-Lens 180 Degree Panoramic Turret PoE IP CCTV Camera

Dahua DH-IPC-PDW3849P-A180-E2-AS-PV-0280B — 8MP Dual-Lens 180° Eyeball Turret IP CCTV Camera

The Dahua DH-IPC-PDW3849P-A180-E2-AS-PV-0280B is an 8MP dual-lens eyeball (turret) IP camera from Dahua's WizSense 3 TiOC range. Two 1/2.7-inch sensors behind 2.8mm lenses are joined by pixel-level splicing into one 180 degree image, so a single camera can cover a wide area such as a shop frontage, car park or yard.

The spliced image is 4096 x 1860 at up to 20fps, with a 180 degree horizontal and 86 degree vertical view. Smart Dual Light gives IR up to 25m and warm light up to 20m, and red and blue warning lights with an alarm sound provide active deterrence. Intrusion and tripwire rules classify humans and vehicles, with SMD 4.0 and electronic enlarge and track of alarm targets.

A built-in dual microphone and speaker allow two-way talk. It takes a Micro SD card up to 512GB, runs on PoE (802.3af) or 12V DC with a maximum of 10.85W on PoE, and the metal IP67 housing is rated for -40 to +60 degrees C. It supports ONVIF Profile S, G and T.

Also listed as IPC-PDW3849P-A180-E2-AS-PV-0280B.

• Dahua PFA137 junction box
• Dahua DH-PFA152-E pole mount bracket
• Dahua DH-PFB220C ceiling mount bracket
• Dahua DH-PFM900-E-V2 integrated mount tester

• Dahua DH-PFS3110-8ET-96-V2 8 Port PoE+ Switch: an 8 port PoE+ switch to power the camera, which draws up to 10.85W on 802.3af PoE

Pairings are suggested on general compatibility (same brand, matching connection type and specification), not as tested combinations.

What you will need

• A PoE NVR or PoE switch that supports 8MP recording, and Cat5e or Cat6 cabling from the camera to the recorder or switch.
• A PoE switch for longer runs or where several cameras share one cable route.
• Clear CCTV signage and GDPR checks before use on a site with public access, because the camera records audio and has warning lights and an alarm.

Common questions

How wide is the view?

Two sensors are joined by pixel-level image splicing into one wide 180° scene, at 8MP in total. Each sensor has a 2.80mm fixed lens.

What is Smart Dual Light?

It is Dahua's illumination mode with built-in IR and LED lights. Read more in our guide to Dahua Smart Dual Light cameras.

Does it have active deterrence?

Yes. Red and blue warning lights and an audible alarm can be triggered by intelligent alarm events. Read more in our guide to Dahua active deterrence cameras.

Will it work with a non-Dahua recorder?

Yes, through ONVIF you get standard live view and recording. Dahua-specific features such as the active deterrence triggers and the deep learning classification may not all be available on a non-Dahua recorder.

Does it need a separate power supply?

No, if you power it over PoE from a compatible recorder or PoE switch. Where PoE is not available, a 12V DC supply can be used instead.

Can I use it outdoors?

Yes. It carries an IP67 rating for protection against dust and water ingress, so it can be mounted outdoors.

Is it a waterproof wide angle camera?

Yes to both. Two sensors are joined into one wide angle 180° scene, and the IP67 rating protects it against dust and water ingress, so it is a waterproof camera that can be mounted outdoors.

Does it have night vision and AI?

Yes. As a night vision camera it uses the built-in IR illumination of Smart Dual Light. As an AI camera it uses deep learning to classify humans and vehicles.

Does it have two-way audio?

Yes. Dahua lists a built-in dual microphone and a built-in speaker for real-time talk, plus one RCA audio input and one RCA audio output. The speaker reaches a maximum sound level of 110 dB at 10 cm in Dahua's laboratory tests.

What resolution is the spliced image?

The main stream is 4096 x 1860 at up to 20fps, made from the two sensors joined into one 180 degree picture. Lower settings of 6M (3632 x 1632) and 4M (3040 x 1368) are also available.

Does it take a memory card?

Yes. It takes a Micro SD card up to 512GB, and it can also record to NAS, FTP or SFTP.
