The DHI-NVR5232-EI2 is a 32 channel recorder in a compact 1U case with two hard drive bays. It suits sites that need a high channel count but moderate storage, such as a shop with many interior cameras, a small office park or a farm with spread-out buildings linked by network.

It records IP cameras up to 32MP and takes up to 448 Mbps of incoming video with AI off (200 Mbps with AI on). Each SATA bay holds a disk up to 26 TB. One HDMI output (up to 8K) and one VGA output connect a monitor, and it runs from a 12 VDC 4 A supply.

The recorder's own AI covers 4 channels of face detection and recognition, 8 of perimeter protection, 16 of SMD Plus and 4 of AcuPick, with WizSeek natural-language search across footage. It has 4 alarm inputs and 2 outputs and one gigabit network port. There are no PoE ports, so cameras connect through a PoE switch.

Does it have PoE ports?

The datasheet lists one RJ-45 10/100/1000 Mbps network port and no PoE ports, so connect cameras through a network switch. For PoE cameras use a PoE switch.

Which video outputs does it have?

One HDMI output, up to 7680 x 4320 (8K), and one VGA output, up to 1920 x 1080.

Does it work with other camera brands?

It supports ONVIF 25.12 (Profile T, S, G and M) and lists Panasonic, Sony, Axis, Arecont, Pelco, Canon and Hanwha for third-party camera access.
