Dahua IPC-HDW4431EM-AS - 4MP 2K IR Eyeball Turret IP CCTV Camera

The Dahua IPC-HDW4431EM-AS is a 4MP (2K) IR turret IP CCTV camera, which Dahua lists as an IR eyeball network camera. Choose a fixed 2.8mm, 3.6mm or 6mm lens on this page. It records up to 2688 x 1520, has infrared night vision up to 50m and a built-in microphone, and runs from PoE or 12 VDC in an IP67 waterproof housing, so one network cable can carry both power and video. As a surveillance camera for IP CCTV systems, its IP67 housing also suits it to use as an outdoor security camera.

Also listed as DH-IPC-HDW4431EM-AS.

Common questions

Is this a 2K camera?

Yes, in the way most people use the term: the 4MP sensor records up to 2688 × 1520.

Is this an outdoor camera?

Yes. The housing is IP67 rated, protected against dust and water, and the operating temperature is -30 °C to +60 °C, so it can be used outdoors as a weatherproof camera.

Which lens should I choose?

The 2.8mm lens has the widest view (104° horizontal) and suits close or wide areas. The 3.6mm (87°) and 6mm (55°) lenses give a narrower view that reaches further.

How far can the night vision see?

Dahua lists the infrared range as up to 50m. The usable distance depends on the scene, so tell us the distance you need to cover and we will advise.

Does it record sound?

Yes. It has a built-in microphone. If you record sound, display signage saying audio is recorded.

Does it need a separate power supply?

No. It can be powered by PoE (802.3af, Class 0) from a PoE NVR or PoE switch, or from 12 VDC.

Will it work with a recorder that is not Dahua?

Dahua’s datasheet for this camera family lists ONVIF, so it can usually be added to third-party recorders that support ONVIF, though some analytics may only work on a Dahua recorder. Tell us your recorder and we will check.
