The Yealink MP55 E2 is an IP (VoIP) desk phone built for Microsoft Teams. It runs Android 15 on the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP) and has a 4.3-inch non-touch colour screen, ten line keys with LED indicators, a dedicated Teams button and a magnet handset. It connects over dual-port Gigabit Ethernet with Power over Ethernet (PoE) support and has built-in dual-band 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. Yealink's datasheet lists the colour as Classic Grey.

What the MP55 E2 is for

Yealink describes the MP55 E2 as a purpose-built phone for vertical industries, and says its line keys and function keys are intended to help with high call volumes in call centres, at front desks and in common areas. Physical keys are provided for hold, transfer and redial. The screen is non-touch, so you work the phone with the line keys, the touch buttons for Teams, headset, mute and pagination, and the navigation, OK and cancel keys. The datasheet also lists a Common Area Phone (CAP) feature and support for SIP and Teams hybrid mode, and says the phone can be managed in bulk with Microsoft Teams Admin Center and the Yealink Device Management Platform (YDMP/YMCS).

How do I power the MP55 E2?
