Frequently asked questions
Will this camera work with a non-Dahua NVR?
Yes. It supports ONVIF (Profile S, G and T) so it can be added to most third-party NVR and VMS systems, though some Dahua-specific AI features are best used with a Dahua NVR.
Does it need a separate power supply?
No, if your NVR or switch supplies PoE (802.3af) the camera is powered over the same network cable. A 12VDC supply can be used instead where PoE isn't available.
How much storage will I need?
At 6MP, allow roughly 3-4GB per camera per day of continuous recording (H.265); actual usage varies with motion and scene detail. The camera also supports a local Micro SD card up to 512GB for edge storage.
Can I use the camera outdoors?
Yes, it's rated IP67 and built for an operating range of -40°C to +60°C.
