The Mitel 6915 is a SIP IP phone for the desk, built around a 3.5-inch 320x240 colour display, six programmable top softkeys and four context-sensitive softkeys under the screen. It has a wideband handset, a full-duplex speakerphone and a two-port 10/100/1000 Ethernet switch, so the phone can share a network cable with a PC.

What the 6915 is for

Mitel describes the 6915 as an entry-level phone in its 6900 range. It suits staff who need a straightforward business phone for everyday calls: handset, headset or handsfree, with programmable keys for the features you use most. It is a wired VoIP phone, so it needs a network connection and PoE or a separate power adapter.

What you will need

Mitel states that the 6915 SIP phone is compatible with select Mitel call managers: MiVoice 5000, MiVoice MX-ONE, MiVoice Office 400 and MiVoice Connect. The installation guide lists MiVoice 5000 Release 6.4 or later, MiVoice MX-ONE Release 6.3 or later and MiVoice 400 Release 5.0 or later, plus access to an FTP, TFTP, HTTP or HTTPS server. Power comes from an 802.3af PoE network or switch, a PoE injector, or the Mitel approved power adapter (sold separately). For any other phone system, check compatibility with us before ordering.

Does the Mitel 6915 come with a power adapter?

Mitel lists the AC power adapter as sold separately. The phone can instead be powered from an 802.3af PoE network, switch or injector.

Does the 6915 have Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?

No. Mitel's user guide lists Bluetooth and 802.11n Wi-Fi as not supported on the 6915.
