An IP desk phone, also called a VoIP desk phone or SIP phone, looks like a traditional desk telephone but makes calls over your network. It connects to an Ethernet port, registers with a phone system or VoIP service, and typically has a corded handset, a screen and a speakerphone.

When comparing models, check:

• how many lines or SIP accounts it supports;
• screen size and programmable keys, which matter on a busy desk;
• Ethernet speed, and whether it is powered over Ethernet (PoE) or needs a separate power supply;
• Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB and headset support;
• whether it works with your phone system or VoIP service.

Some phones accept a wall mount or an expansion module for extra keys. See VoIP phone accessories and check each product page for the phones an accessory fits. For a cordless handset see DECT and wireless IP phones, or browse all VoIP phones. If you are unsure which model suits your system, contact us before ordering.
