Dahua DoLynk Cloud: DMSS, DoLynk Care and Cloud-Managed Networks

DoLynk Cloud is Dahua's cloud platform, launched as a brand in January 2025. It brings together the DMSS app for users, DoLynk Care for installers and monitoring centres, and DoLynk Developer for software partners, so cameras, recorders, alarms, intercoms and network switches can be set up, monitored and maintained remotely. Here's what each part does and why cloud management matters for businesses and the people who look after their systems.

The three parts of DoLynk Cloud

DMSS: for users

The DMSS app is how most people use Dahua equipment day to day: live view, playback, notifications, two-way talk, answering the intercom and arming the alarm, from anywhere.

DoLynk Care: for installers and businesses

  • Remote monitoring of device health across many sites.
  • Predictive maintenance, with reminders and performance reports, so faults are found before a customer notices a dead camera.
  • Alarm receiving centre (ARC) support for monitored AirShield alarm systems. See our AirShield article.

DoLynk Developer: for software partners (November 2024)

A platform-as-a-service that lets third-party developers connect to Dahua IP cameras, NVRs and alarm systems through the cloud, including live view, two-way audio, event notifications with snapshots and playback from the recorder. Dahua's examples include alarm receiving software and home automation.

Cloud-managed networks (April 2024)

Dahua's cloud network solution puts CCTV and IT networking on one platform. Switches, Wi-Fi access points, routers and wireless bridges appear alongside cameras, recorders, alarms and intercoms in an automatically drawn network topology, including some third-party devices. From DoLynk Care an installer can:

  • Add devices by scanning a QR code, or import them in batches.
  • Reboot, upgrade, back up and restore devices remotely.
  • Configure VLANs, link aggregation and loop protection without visiting site.
  • Run a one-click health diagnosis with troubleshooting guidance.

On security, Dahua lists unique encryption keys per device, TLS for data in transit and SHA-256 hashing.

Why it matters

  • Fewer site visits: many faults can be diagnosed and fixed remotely.
  • Faster response: problems such as a camera dropping offline are flagged straight away.
  • One view of the whole system: when CCTV stops working, the cause is often the network, so seeing both together saves time.

Our take

Cloud management is where Dahua is putting much of its effort, and for installers looking after dozens of small sites it changes the economics of maintenance. For end users the benefit is simpler: problems get spotted and fixed sooner, often without anyone visiting.
