The Yealink W59R Pro is a ruggedised DECT handset rated IP67, with built-in Bluetooth 5.2, a vibration alarm and a 2.4 inch colour screen. It is a cordless VoIP handset and one of the rugged Yealink handset options for dusty, humid or harsh workplaces, and it works with the Yealink DECT systems listed below.

What the W59R Pro is for

Yealink positions the W59R Pro for dusty, humid or harsh working environments, and mentions factory and warehouse use when hands-free calling is needed. The casing is certified IP67, with a rubberised surface, antibacterial, scratch-resistant and disinfectant-resistant design. Staff who need to stay mobile can roam between cells on a Yealink multi-cell system, and use a Bluetooth headset or the supplied belt clip when holding the handset is awkward.

It is also a lone-worker and safety handset: Yealink lists push-button, no-movement, man-down and running alarms, and the administrator can configure different alarm types for different users.

What you will need

The Yealink DECT phone range includes the W59R Pro, a Yealink DECT handset for W70B and W75/W80/W90 systems. The W59R Pro is a handset and needs a compatible Yealink DECT base. Yealink states it is fully compatible with the Yealink single-cell W70B and the W75/W80/W90 multi-cell systems, and that Yealink DECT is not compatible with third-party DECT devices such as other makes of base station or handset.
