The Yealink W79P Pro is a ruggedised DECT IP phone system: a W70B base station supplied with a W59R Pro handset, so you get a cordless VoIP phone (a DECT IP phone) that connects to your SIP network over Ethernet. The handset is IP67 rated, 2 m drop-resistant and made with antimicrobial materials, and Yealink states it is chemical-resistant for cleaning, with built-in Bluetooth 5.2 and a vibration alarm.

Yealink describes the W79P Pro as a professional ruggedized DECT IP phone system for challenging environments, with a W59R Pro handset built to withstand harsh workplaces. The base registers up to 10 W59R Pro handsets with up to 10 SIP accounts and 20 simultaneous calls, and up to 6 optional repeaters (RT30) can extend network coverage.
For lone workers and safety-conscious sites, the handset has an alarm key and push-button, no-movement, man-down and running alarms. You can talk hands-free through a Bluetooth headset or the full-duplex speakerphone.

What you will need
The base needs a network connection and a SIP account or SIP-compatible phone system. Yealink states that its DECT technology is not compatible with third-party DECT devices such as other makes of base station or handset.
