The Yealink W78P is a cordless DECT phone system for VoIP and SIP calling, pairing a W70B DECT base station with a W78H handset. The base connects to your network over a single Ethernet port and registers up to 10 W78H handsets, with up to 10 SIP accounts and up to 20 simultaneous calls, so a small business can move from one VoIP handset to several without changing the base.
What the W78P is for
The W78P suits offices, shops and workshops where staff need to take SIP calls while they move around, rather than staying at a desk. The handset combines DECT cordless calling with SIP features such as call hold, call transfer, three-way conference, intercom and paging. It has a vibration alarm so calls are not missed in noisy areas, Bluetooth 5.1 for a wireless headset and a 3.5 mm jack for a wired one. Yealink gives up to 21 hours of talk time, and up to 166 hours of standby for the W78H (V0) or up to 320 hours (V1 to V4), in ideal conditions.

What you will need
You need a SIP phone service or PBX to register the lines, and a network connection with a PoE switch or a spare mains socket for the base station. Yealink states that its DECT technology is incompatible with third-party DECT devices such as base stations and handsets, so any extra handsets should be Yealink W78H. Yealink lists the RT30 as the repeater for extending coverage. Whether the W78P works with your particular PBX or phone provider depends on that platform, so check with your provider or call us before ordering.
