The Dahua DH-IPC-HDW3849HP-AS-PV-0280B-PRO-Black is an 8MP (3840 x 2160) eyeball network camera built around a 1/1.8" CMOS sensor and a fixed 2.8mm lens with a 109° horizontal field of view. WizColor low-light imaging keeps footage in colour down to 0.0004 lux, while built-in red and blue warning lights, an audible alarm, dual microphones and a speaker give it active deterrence and two-way talk capability alongside standard recording duties.

Will this camera work with a non-Dahua NVR?

Yes. It supports ONVIF (Profile S, G and T) so it can be added to most third-party NVR and VMS platforms, though some Dahua-specific features such as AcuPick may only be available with a Dahua or compatible recorder.

Does it need a separate power supply?

No, it is PoE (802.3af) powered from a compatible NVR or PoE switch, or it can run from a 12VDC supply if PoE is not available.

How much storage will I need?

At 8MP the camera can produce significant footage volumes; storage should be sized against your chosen frame rate, compression (H.265 is recommended) and retention period, and the camera also supports a local micro SD card up to 512GB for edge storage.

Can I use the warm light and IR together?
