The Dahua DH-HAC-HDW1509TP-IL-A-0280B-S2-Grey is a 5MP HDCVI eyeball dome camera with a 2.8mm fixed lens, built for clear day and night footage over standard coax cable. Dahua's Smart Dual Light system combines infrared and white LED illumination with three selectable modes, giving up to 40m of IR range along with 120dB WDR and 3D noise reduction to hold on to detail in strong backlight or low light.
Who is HDCVI for?
HDCVI sends HD video over standard coax — ideal for upgrading an existing coax-cabled analogue system without rewiring, and for very long cable runs where the 100m IP limit is a problem.

What you will need
- A Dahua XVR/Penta-brid recorder to get the full 5MP HDCVI picture and audio from this camera — see our DVRs and XVRs range.
- Standard RG59 coax cable to carry both the video signal and a separate 12V DC power feed to the camera.
- A multi-way power supply unit if you are running several cameras back to one recorder location, so each camera gets a clean 12V feed from a single enclosure.
Frequently asked questions
Which recorders is this camera compatible with?
This camera needs a Dahua XVR or Penta-brid recorder to run at its full 5MP HDCVI resolution; most modern Penta-brid recorders will also accept the signal at a lower resolution if you are mixing it with an older system.
Can I mix this camera with my existing analogue cameras?
Yes. Penta-brid recorders accept HDCVI, HD-TVI, AHD and standard analogue (CVBS) inputs on the same unit, so this camera can be added to most existing coax systems without replacing every camera at once.
How far can I run the cable?
HDCVI keeps a strong signal over coax for considerably longer than the 100m limit of standard IP cabling, which makes it a practical option for long external runs where a coax route already exists.
