Dahua WITHS Wireless Cameras: Hero, Picoo and Apollo for Small Businesses

WITHS is Dahua's wireless camera range for small and medium-sized businesses and homes. It covers indoor Hero and Cube cameras, outdoor Picoo, Apollo and Bullet cameras, and 4G and solar-powered models for sites with no Wi-Fi or mains power, all managed from the DMSS app. Dahua launched the WITHS name at IFA Berlin in September 2025 and expanded the range in 2026, building on wireless lines it had been adding since 2023. Here's what each family does, the technology inside and where wireless CCTV makes sense.

Why wireless cameras?

Running network cable to every camera is often the most expensive part of a CCTV job. In a rented shop, a listed building, a restaurant or a temporary site, it may not be practical at all. Wireless cameras connect over Wi-Fi (or 4G), so set-up is quicker and cameras can be moved as needs change. Dahua sums up the WITHS idea as Simple, Smart and Secure.

The WITHS families

Indoor: Hero, Cube and Turret

  • Hero pan-and-tilt cameras cover a room through 360°, with AI human and pet detection, auto tracking, two-way audio and a one-click privacy mode. Newer Hero models add a dual-lens, dual-view design so you see a wide view and a close-up at once.
  • Cube cameras are compact fixed cameras for shelves and desks, also with human and pet detection and privacy mode.
  • Dahua says select indoor models add face recognition and gesture interaction.

Outdoor: Picoo, Apollo and Bullet

  • Picoo outdoor pan-and-tilt cameras (such as the Picoo F1 in 3MP, 5MP and 8MP) use WizColor for colour images at night, AI human and vehicle detection, auto tracking and IP66 weatherproofing. The Picoo A2 adds red and blue warning lights with an audible alarm.
  • Apollo cameras are built for sites with no infrastructure. The Apollo Battery Bullet C1 uses dual-band Wi-Fi 6, supports an 8W solar panel and offers an Always-On Video (AOV) mode for continuous recording at very low power. Selected Apollo and Picoo models connect over 4G with a SIM card, solar charging and on-board storage.
  • Bullet models give a fixed long view with full-colour and smart dual-light options.

The technology that matters

  • AI detection separates people, pets and vehicles from wind, rain and shadows, so you get fewer pointless alerts.
  • Always-On Video fixes a common weakness of battery cameras. A PIR-triggered camera has to wake up before it records, so it can miss the start of an event. AOV keeps a low-power recording running and switches to full recording when something happens.
  • Active deterrence uses sound and light alarms to warn people off before they act.
  • WizColor gives colour night images from a large-aperture lens, a large-pixel sensor and AI image processing. See our WizColor guide.
  • DMSS app and NVR support, so a single shop can run from a phone and a business with several sites can manage everything from a recorder.

Where WITHS cameras fit

  • Shops, cafés and restaurants that want quick, tidy installation.
  • Offices and homes, using privacy mode when people are in.
  • Warehouses and outbuildings where cable runs are long.
  • Farms and construction sites, using the 4G and solar Apollo models. See our Dahua solar and 4G guide.

Our take

Wireless CCTV used to mean compromises: patchy recording, short battery life and weak night images. WITHS tackles each one with AOV recording, Wi-Fi 6 and 4G, solar power and WizColor. For a business that needs coverage quickly without a cabling job, it's worth a look. For larger or high-risk sites, wired PoE cameras remain the more dependable choice.
