HD analogue PTZ cameras run over coax to a DVR, so they suit upgrading an existing analogue system without rewiring the site. If there is already cable in the ground, this is the range that saves you digging it up.
Pick the optical zoom from the distance you need to identify someone at: 15× for a yard or forecourt, 25–30× for a car park or a long boundary. Hikvision's Turbo HD PTZ models are the DS-2AE series; our Hikvision PTZ camera guide compares them with the IP range and explains how to read the model numbers.
A PTZ is heavier than a fixed camera and the bracket carries a moving load, so budget for the right wall, pole or pendant mount. Zenith Security Co. is an authorised Hikvision partner, operating since 2012, delivering within 1–2 working days to England, Scotland and Wales. Call 01902 902251 if you are not sure which model fits your recorder.
